Project details:
The mixed use development consists of ground floor restaurants, entry foyer, and four level podium suitable for offices or medical consulting rooms, with a 114 room hotel and seven serviced apartments over nine floors. A range of prefabricated pod bathrooms were used throughout the construction, offering significant time and cost savings during construction. The architecturally designed bathroom pods feature dark vertical porcelain wall tiles, Caesarstone benchtops, oak laminate joinery and chrome sanitary fittings. The bathrooms include mirrors and ceilings with LED strip lighting.
Challenge:
The project required a streamlined construction schedule due to the location with fast turnaround times for the 132 individual pod construction process.
Solution:
ARDEX were able to offer the complete tiling solution consisting of ARDEX X 17 tile adhesive and ARDEX FSDD grout. The 132 bathroom pods were integrated throughout every guest room in the hotel, and simply installed and connected once they arrive on site ensuring project scheduling was met.
Unique Elements:
ARDEX provided the tiling solution, accompanied by market leading service and technical support throughout the entire project. The project remained on schedule and guaranteed the products performance characteristics met the projects requirements.
